FLETCHING FETE AND GYMKHANA

Valuable prizes are offered in connection with the fete and gymkhana promoted by the British Legion, to be held in Sheffield Park next Wednesday.

Silver cups are being presented by Mr. A. G. Soames, the Officers’ Mess, Maresfield, the Burstow and Southdown Hunts, and Miss Alice Crompton for the various mounted events.

For the Beauty Show a handsome dressing case is given by Mr. and Mrs. Alderton, Gazelslope, Piltdown.

A grand Military Display is to be given by troops from Maresfield Park Camp.

There will be numerous side shows, stalls and other attractions. lightning sketches by well known artists and fortune telling.

There will be a long distance balloon race, and prizes given for the balloon returned from the longest distance within seven days.

Mr. Bently offers a prize for the best clown.

Entries for mounted events close on July 30th. and should be forwarded to Mr. Kilner, Snatts’ House. Fletching.
